Oddballs Camp offers accommodation in dome tents set on elevated wooden decks, and shaded by shelters or trees. Each tent is equipped with bedding mattress on the floor, a storage trunk and a light. Beautiful outdoor showers and ablutions are en-suite. The central bar and lounge area has comfortable chairs and sofas, a selection of books and games, and raised viewing decks overlooking the sweep of the delta – the perfect place to sip a sundowner and watch the sun set over the palm trees, and view whatever wildlife may be visiting. The traditional Okavango Delta experiences at Oddballs Camp are the use of local guides, hand-made wooden dug-out mekoro, no motorized activities, no generators in camp.

Location Of Oddballs Camp

Oddballs’ is situated on the edge of Chief’s Island, deep in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The camp is accessible by light aircraft only and is a 20-minute flight from Maun. On arrival you will be met at the airstrip and welcomed to the island by your local guide.

Safari Experience At Oddballs Camp

At Oddballs, its guides are locals villagers trained under the camp’s management – this is a person of the swamp, born and raised in the area, and you will spend your days in his mokoro, gliding through the floodplains and channels, and walking under his guidance on some of the many islands in the area, taking in the magnificent scenery and light as well as the abundant game and bird-life of the Okavango.

The emphasis at Oddballs Camp is on peace and tranquility (stalking game on foot provides the excitement) and guests are actively encouraged by the camp to visit the local village, home to the guides, and to interact with the people there.

  • LOCATION: Situated on the south-western edge of Chief’s Island in the heart of the Okavango Delta, on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve.

  • ACCESS: Serviced by Delta Camp Airstrip – a 20 minute flight from Maun, 50 minutes from Kasane, and 15-30 minutes from most other camps.
