Nestled on a lush palm island in the heart of the northern Okavango Delta, Shinde Enclave is an exclusive ‘camp within a camp at the edge of Shinde Lagoon, which teems with animal and birdlife offering the ultimate in personal service and a memorable wilderness experience. The Enclave consisting of three luxurious tents with raised teak decks which overlook windswept papyrus beds, and the area is home to many aquatic species including the rarely-seen sitatunga. With a private dining and lounge area, the Enclave is the perfect retreat after a day’s activities. This intimate hideaway also offers guests the services of a private chef, waiter and housekeeper as well as their own professional guide and vehicle.

Shinde Enclave is situated within Shinde’s private concession which allows guided walks, Mokoro excursions and night drives in addition to game drives and motorboat trips, all with your own private guide. Shinde’s excellent location in the Okavango Delta ensures a combination of permanent water access for year-round water activities and large dry areas for game drive routes. This blend of environments provides the habitat for a consistently wide variety of wildlife, including the elusive sitatunga antelope. Fly or spin fishing is available throughout the year (with the exception of January and February), with excellent bream fishing from May to September and superb chances of landing Tiger fish during September to mid- November. Activities At Shinde Enclave
Situated in the Shinde concession, Shinde Enclave offers a choice of land and water activities available throughout the year. Morning and afternoon game drives are conducted in open safari vehicles, with afternoon game drives often continuing into the evening. Alternatively climb aboard a Mokoro with a local ‘poler’ and enjoy the exploration of the Okavango Delta’s tranquil waterways. Motorboat trips, walking trails and fishing trips are other optional activities, all planned and enjoyed with your private professional guide.
